I fear that your upload did not complete successfully. The weird filename happens when the upload hiccups, the result is the upload session stops part way through.

The size that I'm seeing for the file is 175,438,276 (~175MB). Does that match up with the file you tried to upload?

No - the complete clip is nearly 1GB in size. The clip on the page runs for a little over 12 minutes. I will try to provide an alternate link in the description and create a new entry that will hopefully not be interrupted.

Glad that you are retrying. You probably want to make sure you are using an ftp program that supports resuming, so that if the upload process gets interrupted you can continue where you left off. Smartftp is a program that many have used. Be sure to check to make sure that the file you have uploaded matches the size of the file on your computer.

To answer your original question, site curators move appropriate movies from the Opensource section to the more specialized sections. Sometimes curators don't notice so you might post a message to the Feature Films forum to get their attention. So, you are uploading it to the correct place.

One suggestion, would you consider uploading a higher quality format? The movies in the Feature Films section are all DVD quality MPEG2, the file that you're uploading is VCD quality MPEG1. The Archive will automatically generate several lower quality versions of the file, if you are concerned about having those available.
