Sorry there has been very little communication about this lately. A lot of the issues we had on this server were due to disk failures - we have had 2 of them in the last 5 days. Some of the data was not able to be recovered, so if you log back in and see your files missing this morning you will need to reupload them and import again. We tried to recover as much as possible, unfortunately we couldn't recover all of it. As of this morning we still have one bad disc that we are trying to replace - so the server may go offline again for a couple hours over the next 3 or 4 days. I will try to get advance notice about this.

The issue of metadata not writing appears to be fixed this morning. Please fill out File Options on your recordings if you were waiting for this.

Sorry for the inconvenience all, feel free to respond with questions and we'll answer them to the best of our knowledge.

-Brad

Audio-Uploads will be going down briefly about 2:30pm today for more disk maintenance. It should be the last time for a while (knock on wood).

I uploaded a show today. When I went to import it, the show folder doesn't show up, just my individual directory folder (/audio-uploads.archive.org/emailaddress). Is this a problem related to the drive failure? Maybe it was restored improperly? when I go into ftp, the show is all there.

Not sure if it is related, but the HTML of archive.org seems 'junky' now. for instance when I load up www.archive.org, the footer frame where the text "Institutional support" is huge for some reason. also, on the LMA home page, "Other Audio Collections" "About the Audio Archive" and "Contributing to the Live Music Archive" are in huge font and the links below them aren't formated into boxes like they normally are... weird!

Just finished re-uploading a show (first one got lost somewhere in the havok of the last couple of days). But it's still saying that there is no metadata, even though I added it. argh!
