ok, great.
so you first need to "checkout" your item.

you can either click the "Edit item" link on the lower
lefthand of the details page, then hit "item manager"
then hit "checkout" button

OR you can switch /details/ with /checkout/

that will setup your item in the FTP server you just logged into (you might need to "refresh" or relogin)
and then you can manipulate files!
