Re: Charade (1963) With Cary Grant I got a strike for posting this film! |
Indeed, they are remaking the film and that is why I got the strike. I sent them the info from the archive and mentioned there are two files for the film. I used my own copy which I often do so I don't know why they say they can't give the film back.
I upload the file from my Laptop and the file stays with me. So, why does YouTube think I can't have the film 'returned'? They are just daft.
We will see what happens but I am really annoyed by this. How do people deal with content ID matches with the music in these old PD films? These claimants buy a few minutes of music for a film and they often put a hold on it for months!
There is no way to file a complaint against any of these folks either! Thanks for the response and the Video Cellar is awesome, I always put it in the tags but the tags are not shown after the film is processed!
Apple should buy YouTube.

Re: Charade (1963) With Cary Grant I got a strike for posting this film! |
When I filed my counternotice they released their claim. When that happened I had a letter from YouTube stating so and said it was alright to upload the film. If the Company releases the claim then they too believe it is in the Public Domain.
I will not take chance since YouTube's content ID system is totally screwed.
Thanks.

It is just confusing due to their content ID system. I am very tired of this stuff!
Thanks!
