Indeed. What a wonderful gift you were given.

I don't understand why we humans can do such evil unto each other and still be in relationship with Christ. Of course that journey from evil to a relationship w/ J.C. involves a changing of the heart. But as you mention, you can backslide and call another Inquisition or molest 80 kids and you still get in. Even before the firing squad or strapped to a gunnery. I don't understand why (turning the other cheek I haven't even begun to understand).

I think if you are a person of faith you try and do the best you can everyday. What else can you do? No one can follow all the tenets of Christianity all the time. That's when I read of Christ's forgiveness of me it is a model of my forgiveness of others and hopefully others forgiveness of me when I have hurt them. If we were perfect we would not need such a teaching from Christ.
