Re: playing while tripping |
However I reccomend LSD to mushrooms for playing, I've found good clean L is more of a strait shot, like a ray of sunshine and energy while mushrooms can be unpredictable, I wouldn't feel comfortable eating mushrooms before a show, sometimes the smalles amount can be real powerful and for me I might be fine or totally in control or might feel like running naked in the woods. Thats just me though, I have had a couple good experiences playing on mushrooms but I wasn't playing a show

Re: playing while tripping |
There are other dates out there but I know they played on psychedelics on 10-20-74, listen to some of the longer tunes on that like the other one, even stella blue, when its a small enough dose it seems to add that delicacy, enhance the soulfulness and push the music furthur

Bob Weir 09/28/75 Lindley MeadowsThen there’s the well enough substantiated story that the band was higher than kites for this show. While it has always been very well understood that this band played under the influence of LSD many many many times, there are some shows that come to mind when Deadheads talk about shows where the band was “known” to have been chemically altered for sure: 08/27/72, 05/11/78, and 09/28/75 among them. So, this places an extra special sparkle to re-living the day’s concert when listening.
