Re: The Year In Rock: 1968 |
You're really researching this!
I thought Village Green didn't make it since it was unpopular at the time; people may well have liked Something Else more. But if it wasn't out in the US til Jan 69, that explains its absence. Zeppelin (Jan 69) doesn't belong for sure!
Axis & Notorious Byrd Brothers & Traffic's first may have been considered '67 albums (or remembered as such). Or maybe the editors just thought they were weaker than the artists' next albums. Astral Weeks (Nov 68) definitely got overlooked, who knows why!

Re: The Year In Rock: 1968 |
Sorry guys, too busy lately, BUT hope all recall this is MY fav show of all time (if only for the solo of Jerry's out of the drum solo!!!), on a regular basis...
And, of course, I've lived the "grumpy" attacks on CREAM by so many night and day lately it seems, and find it odd to take comfort on one level (this one liked CREAM)and be bitch slapped on another (12-29), so, DD, WTF??!! is right!
But, thx, DD, elb and esp you, LiA; great to pop in and find this stuff!
68 rules! It's the only year in my "real" (top secret) email addy...
