Motorhead in 1982, the sound was so bad that the band abandoned the show 15 min in and fired the sound crew on the spot, then my lovely wife wanted to see the Scorpions in 2010 for her birthday so in the middle of the G8 lockdown, in pouring rain I suffered through the German ballads with a bunch of leathered-up aging metalheads..."yes dear this is such fun"

Sound at the MTB show wasn't the problem. Drunk and burnt-out Doug Gray was the problem. His voice was toast and he derided the crowd for not giving him the reaction he would've gotten if the Caldwell brothers had been there. About 30 minutes in, he turned his back on the audience, looked at the stage manager, tapped his watch and mouthed, "How long we gotta stay in this hole?"
