that hat comment is pretty damn funny.

I also don't like Ryan's interpretations of the Dead's music - I prefer to him play his own. Interesting that Furthur seems to cover a bunch of his stuff.

my wife actually plays some of his solo stuff, I heard that well before I knew he did dead music...some stuff was listenable...he has a knack for assuming somebody else's sound, like a musical doppelgänger, his own musical voice is not as interesting...
