Forum: forums Subject: Manage Your Directory Tree - FIX!

I tried to respond to another post on this topic but it did not work, so here it is as a new post.

I was having the same problem with getting the "File" button on the "Manage Your Directory Tree" to highlight so I could "click it" to get access. I knew I had done it before but I could not remember - ah, but I kept a note!

It DOES NOT WORK in Microsoft Explorer. I switched to my GOOGLE CHROME and it worked immediately. I have not tested Safari, Opera or Firefox.

I wanted to change my file, not just delete it, so I uploaded the corrected file with a different name, then I deleted the original file that was in error. Once that was done I renamed the new file back to the original name.

Last step is to go and "DERIVE" the files again, otherwise I think your new file will be there as the new PDF but the derived files will all be the old version.

I am not sure if there is a quicker way to re-derive the file than I found but it appears it worked. I went to the "MetaData" editor rather than the "File Editor". A the top of that page is a link "You may also visit the Item Manager", so I clicked on that and it went to a new page where there is a link in the middle to RE-DERIVE.

It looks like I now have duplicate files so I might have to go back and delete the old ones!
