do you know this movie? |
I am trying to find a film that I once saw at the archive but I now cannot find: a jaded aristocrat traveling in the countryside (US, 1940s) encounters a woman trying to keep her small factory afloat while her employees consider going on strike...he finally puts his money where his mouth is after defending capitalism only in words at first... and helps to support the factories resurgence....and of course they live happily ever after... Please help me find this one if you can. Thanks in advance.

I remember the movie, I'm just trying to remember the title but I'm sure that it was moved tp feature films. I'll keep looking for it.

Thanks- I think it may have a New England connection: Connecticut, Vermont etc. I believe the man had been a Doctor and was a victim of a bitter divorce perhaps.

I don't know the answer off hand but will see what I can dig up for you. Do you know anything about the actors or state it was supposed to be set in?
