According to the FAQ section, it is best to upload a book in PDF format. If I do that, will my book only be available in PDF format for others to download? Or will Internet Archive somehow make it also available as, say, an ePub file? Thanks!

It will be converted into other formats automatically. Not sure which ones exactly, have to see after upload, but at least it will OCR into plain text which could then be made into an ePub (though it will need manual clean up since OCR is not perfect).

Workinghard,

It should get the formats listed on this link,

http://archive.org/details/ZOE_A_Story_Of_Honor_Betrayal_And_Redemption_Book_29_

except .doc, which will appear if you upload a .doc file also. I usually upload PDF, .DOC and .HTML files. Then you will get all of these formats:

With the exception of .DOC and .HTML, everything else is derived by the Archive from the PDF file that you upload.

Unfortunately, Internet Archive no longer transfers PDFs in the B/W Format. Last Christmas almost everyone stopped using that format. I'm assuming that was IA's decision. Why was it eliminated?
