Forum: etree Subject: llama browser for linux (seeking win/mac hackers)

I'd like to announce the availability (of sorts) of a new, very experimental, llama browser for Linux. It's still in a bit of a hackers-only state, but the brave and adventurous are welcome to try it out. It Works For Me(tm).

The program allows you to tag your favorite artists, and easily download entire concerts in your favorite format. Artist and concert lists are cached locally using SQLite (the same mini-database used by Firefox).

At the moment, I can't guarantee it'll work on anything but Linux--in fact, I can almost guarantee it'll do the Wrong Thing on Windows--but it's written in a very portable language (python 2.7) using a very portable gui toolkit (wxwidgets), so getting it to run properly on Windows or Mac should be fairly straightforward. Especially if I can get some Win or Mac hackers to help me. :)

Brave souls who want to look at--or even try--the brand new 0.1 "release" can find it at https://github.com/xtifr/llamabrowser (click on "Tags" for an easily downloadable zipfile or tarball).

The license is GPLv3, which basically means you can freely share and modify the program, as long as you make any modifications public as well.

Forum: etree Subject: Er, llama == Live Music Archive

Just in case anyone hadn't heard the "llama" nickname for the Live Music Archive, and thought I was posting off-topic, I thought I'd better clarify. :)

cheers
