Re: what was the first concert you ever attended.... |
The Magic Mountain Music Festival at Mt. Tam, June, 1967, a week before Monterey Pop. My friend and I arrived just in time to catch the Doors perform.
Jeebers, I can't believe I found this! I can remember sitting up the hill about halfway and then coming down and standing at the left edge of the stage for the rest of the show.

Did you meet Dr. Donald D. Rose? He was the most legendary AM radio DJ in the Bay Area.
Very raw footage:

Yeah, I realized that after I clicked submit. I'm just too f*ckin' busy(a very good thing!) to go back and fix it.
Hope you are well UU.

Things in my world are just "finer than frog hair". At least that's what I'm trying to convince myself. Life's easier when things are going well.
"busy"(most always a good thing)..guess that explains some of the dust and crickets over at the "Brokedown"

Re: what was the first concert you ever attended.... |
That's the one. You had to take "Trans-Love Buslines" to get up there. We waited 2 hours to get an available bus. What a ride! We came so close to the edge on that winding road up and down the mountain. No way could they get away with doing that today. Lawyers didn't exist in those days. (erk!)
Crikey! I think the only ones still working (or even alive!) are Steve Miller and Dionne Warwick! Everyone else is long gone.
