nice recording. I think Fox on the Run is The Country Gentlemen with the great Bill Emerson on banjo. The rest is unmistakable Earl.

And such an interesting date, too. Given the IA dating style, it's clear that this is from December of the Year 1. Earl, Lester and Doc were very popular with the boys on leave from the legions of Augustus. I've found a review from the time, too! Amazing! The headline is "Et Tu, Earle?" and it starts like this:

Bluegrassia est omnis divisa in partes tres: Scruggs, Flatt et Doc Watson ...
