Curious As To Why This Is Listed In Open Source |
http://www.archive.org/details/application9I'm really not trying to drop a fly in anyone's ointment here, but I can't see as why a listing for the Koran with links to HTML pages and a link to an mp3 is listed in Open Source Software. Seems to me that it should go in Audio somewhere? If it were an actual Open Source program (ie, if it were listed with the Open Source initiative @
http://www.opensource.org/ ) perhaps it would make some sense, but as it stands, it's just a link to some pages which espouse a certain philosophy and a link to a mp3. Thats NOT software. Additionally, if it's trying to slide in as "software" by claiming that HTML is a "programming language", that is disingenuous at best and misleading at worst.
Granted, it seems to have a great many downloads(?) and more power to our wonderful friends who follow the Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be With Him), but I'm guessing this is either a misuse of the Archive's resources or a mistake in categorizing. Any moderators thoughts?
Again: No offense meant. Just curious.
