It's Official.... |
...I've had my fill of Netflix and their crappy service. It seems that evry time I get a shipment of dvds from them (I have the four-at-a-time plan)one or more of the discs are too messed up to play properly, being badly scratched up, or obviously broken. I don't have this problem when I buy dvds, and I don't run into this problem as much when I rent from a brick-and-mortar store. This is garbage and when the billing period is over, that's it, we're done. Plus I feel I have to pay too much for this crap. Anyone feel the same way?

We stopped renting videos when Blockbuster tried coming after us saying we didn't return a tape...of course that was back in '96 or so. (We won, then canceled our account.) Never got around to trying Netflix or any other similar services. Quit going to theaters a few years ago, after too many reports of bedbugs infesting the local multiplexes. I'm sure William Castle would be proud, though. ;)

Are the bed bugs in 3D?;) Don't tell the theaters about them, they'll charge you extra for 'em.

I was not happy when they deleted all the social aspects a few years ago. Completely unnecessary. Then they played games with the pricing. I only stream now (the software is negligible on space) and I've been pleased with the service. But there will come a time when they must add more content to keep my interest. I don't trust the company (collusion w/ Walmart, ect.)and would take a long look at a serious competitor.

The thing I don't like is that Netflix is pushing streaming. I don't buy into the stuff about buying software to watch software. I have software-it's called a COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got fed up last summer after they took away the ability to do custom sorts in a list view. Without the ability to sort by year the site became useless to me, making the stuff I like virtually impossible to find. They eventually brought that functionality back (or so I hear), but by then I was done with 'em.
