I've been doing that, and plan to get more, but if they can be bought from a store the mark-up will still be a lot less than the carriage I have to pay for shipping to the U.K.

I bought a few from the one day sale at Dead.net a in November as a Christmas "or, Chrimbo" present to myself. It was free shipping in the US, so I sent it to my sister back home. I've just been informed that her husband has now posted it over here to the UK. I can't wait. I ordered about 4 road trips I've had on my list for a while. I am hoping to be lucky and receive them on my days off this week... we'll see. Still haven't gotten any E72 shows yet because I want to get the whole box set, but I'll have to save up a while for that. It's tempting to cherry pick a few to keep me going a while till I get the box set. Then I could pass the extras on.

Perhaps you or your friend has a person over there that you could arrange to send an order from the website. You'd save by shipping within the US, and they could bring it back in carry-on when they return.

Have you tried spin cds in Newcastle (UK). They always try to do a good deal and are one of my favourite shops (and local to me in Durham which is a bonus).
