Re: new video/audio player 'opt in' is live! |
Hi Tracey, ´0:34´or 0:39´that is the question. I listen again 0:34 and could to jump until 0:39´I don´t doubt but if you listen my original file MP3 you listen the end.
I think that it is a problem of file formats.
Thanks again fot your support.
Have a nive week end, Myriam

Re: new video/audio player 'opt in' is live! |
Dear Myriam,
I believe this is now fixed.
I reproduced your excellent and patiently persistent bug report and pushed live a fix. Your item is now properly showing "39" in the playlists in all situations (before playback) and also "39" during playback in all situations (and thus our new player isn't cutting it off at "34" seconds like it was before).
so sorry about that, and thanks for helping to make Archive a better place!
best regards,
-tracey

Re: new video/audio player 'opt in' is live! |
well, sh***********t 8-)
i suddenly seem able to reproduce what you've been patiently been reporting when i force to flash -- and i see the issue. the "ogg" file is the "derivative" from the "original" file which is the "mp3". oddly, the "ogg" is coming up as 34 seconds; the "mp3" as 39 seconds.
we prioritizing "derivative" times, and thus using 34 seconds. so if you're playing the mp3, you're *INDEED* getting cutoff ~5 seconds early, since it's treating the "duration" of 34 seconds as "stop after 34 seconds".
still looking how to uncode myself out of this nice little paper bag that i've gotten into.... 8-)
