Re: Much smaller image than the old video/audio player |
much smaller -- so you're talking about video, right?
it actually starts out bigger now, at 400x300
(instead of old player starting at 320x240)
for "click to play" state,
and then both, when playing start, bump to 640x480.
maybe that quadruple in size isn't working for you? what OS and browser combo?
the new player also has a fullscreen button that work for:
-chrome
-safari
-IE7, IE8
and for firefox it maxes out to the browser size
and for IE9 it's one or the other (don't have IE9 on right now)

Re: Much smaller image than the old video/audio player |
My OS/Browser is IE8/WindowsXP.
I do know under the old video audio player, the video image managed to both fill up my screen and leave enough room to see the play/pause button and length of time at the bottom.
The new a/v player just shows to me a small square.

Re: Much smaller image than the old video/audio player |
ah i think i saw and reproduced what you were talking about.
at least i saw it not expanding to the full intended vertical space,
so yes, the video remained much smaller than intended when playing.
that's fixed -- can you let me know if that was indeed the issue you were seeing that things look better now for you? with a 4:3 aspect video, there should be no "black bars" on the sides and it should be playing at 640x480
(and of course one can fullscreen to larger than that..)
sorry about that bug! it was only happening on the flash variant of our new player (which is mostly just IE7 and IE8) so we missed that in testing and QA when we were focusing on functionality and all the little tests/requirements to pass the player into this "beta" opt-in release)
cheers,
