If by 1960s compendium you mean the
1960-1969 Catalog of Copyright Entries, Parts 12-13, Cumulative Series, be aware that the decennial volumes only contain original registrations, not renewals. In other words, the 1960-1969 Cumulative Series volume contains only original registrations filed in 1960-1969, not renewals filed in 1960-1969 for films originally registered in the 1930s or 1940s.
Decennial volumes are useful to easily find a film's original registration date and thus calculate what the renewal window should have been. But the renewals themselves can only be found in the yearly CCEs.
