Re: 'Normal' audio player not working |
YOu know, I noticed that when I first observed the 'problem' I was having but I also hadn't edited the detail page yet to change the file designator to 128kbps MP3. When I did, the appropriate time appeared. Maybe related to reading the mp3 header.
Here's why... Since some time back, for some reason never addressed by the staff at IA that I've noted although I've mentioned it (Vehemently sometimes), the files I've been uploading as 128kbps mp3s get processed by the deriver and show up TAGGED as VBR files. The section of the mp3 that contains the tagging is in a different place in some VBR mp3 files and until I change that setting in the details page, I get no tags showing in the on-page player.
It may affect the time showing too.
FWIW, I'm not sure what caused my initial prolem but it cleared up as mysteriously as it started. The only thing that COULD HAVE affected it at my end was a rare Avast A/V program update requiring a restart... but I hadn't restarted yet.
