To me, it's this Chicago show that's most often given short shrift...I think mostly b/c it's on the heels of some of the most talked about (and rightfully so: 5/7-5/9) performances in a month/year with nothing but home runs.
But this show features a unique Scarlet>Fire that has very little in the way of bridge jamming, yet starts on the beat in "Fire" and gives Jerry ample time to wah-wah away like nobody's business before the first verse. It's as sweet an S>F as you'll ever hear. Add in a scorching "Samson", smooth as silk "Bertha" and an absolutely killer post-drums run of "TOO>Stella>GDTRFB>OMSN" that will blow your mind to bits, and this show definitely deserves more love than it gets.
