Re: There is no such thing as 'The Rapture' |
I usually find it quite lame when Jesus comes up in the forum, if only because the discussion inevitably wanders down the same old political fault lines. Everyone always seems to find that Jesus is conveniently in line with their own political and moral compasses.

Re: There is no such thing as 'The Rapture' |
No fault lines here. Too conservative for liberal churches, too liberal for conservative churches. And just taking the Q (Jesus direct quotes) as the foundation of faith. The walk ought to constantly challenge any bias you describe or your just spiritually masturbating. None of us has done that before.
As a whole Christianity is becoming much more African and Chinese, as it sadly dies in the West. I hope for a Fourth Great Awaking before we are hoisted on are arrogantly intellectual petard.

I have no idea what "spiritually masturbating" even means, and don't think I want to.

It is too simplistic to assume any 'fault lines'.
What does that even mean? Is Frank Luntz here?

Re: There is no such thing as 'The Rapture' |
Then I urge you to destroy such constructs in your mind. They may appear to exist, but it's just an illusion. Which is greater, our common humanity or 'fault lines'. Placing groups in boxes leads to an ugly place.
And skuzzle, I value what you contribute here. I have no desire for this conversation to tar either one of us.

I found Juan to be a much better carpenter than Jesus, but they're both hanging out in the parking lot at Home Depot.

I have have seen some stupid threads on this forum, but this one is mind numbing between the inane quoting of Jesus and Gerrit Grahm, what is the point.
