Forum: audio Subject: Meanwhile FTP server appears offline and Http uploader is F*cking up: Unknown err: mkdir(): Permission denied

The URL in question: http://www.archive.org/details/tth_110517

DO NOT BOTHER FIXING IT I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME!

I haven't been able to get a connection to the FTP server since yesterday morning and have been forced to use the dysfuntional HTTP uploader.

The Dysfunction? LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY... FIVE YEARS OF UPLOADS FIVE DAYS A WEEK AND I'VE NEVER HAD THE 'PRIVILIGE" OF SEEING THIS ERROR MESSAGE:

No change to derivation rules.

Unknown err: mkdir(): Permission denied [/usr/local/petabox/www/common/ItemDropper.inc:66]
An error has occurred. Please post to the forums.

Yeah... Your FORCED UPON US uploader just ate my uploads.
It DID manage to locate the identifier.jpg, but the audio files are gone.

Consider it POSTED!

Just used the HTTP uploader to re-upload... the files APPEARED to be there... But:

(The "Not previously set" status of the tags and the MANUAL CHANGE from VBR to 128kbps indicates that the deriver STILL DOES NOT UNDERSTAND a 128kbps mp3 and CANNOT write a tag even when it identifies the file as an MP3... Pitiful.)

File: "01_nws_110517.mp3" format change from: "VBR MP3" to: "128Kbps MP3"
File: "01_nws_110517.mp3" title change from: [not previously set] to: "May 17 2011 Morning News via KPIG: 7:00am PDT"
