Re: My unplug the cable experiment(non-GD) |
There is nothing like listening to baseball games on the radio while working in the garden . . . or barbequing under the sun. You can throw your peanut shells on the ground and nobody cares. I have a hard time watching baseball on tv with all the the pop-ups and their showing past footage while the game is in motion - it's all too much of a distraction to me. Listening on the radio stimulates and works the imagination in a fashion, not unlike listening to live Dead recordings.

Re: My unplug the cable experiment(non-GD) |
I am not a real diehard sports fan but before I cut the cable I signed up for streaming ESPN via Time warner. After I canceled my cable it they not stop my streaming ESPN.So if I want to watch outside the lines or see highlights and scores I can still watch that on my computer at no extra charge......
But since spring is just around the corner I have lots of bicycle repairs and tuneups to help keep me busy and TV free...next winter I might get cabin fever and want it back....("sigh")...
