I like your Jerry/Satchmo combination - I've thought for a long time that Jerry's phrasing on guitar is similar to Armstrong's on trumpet.

To add some authenticity I would have liked to hear Pigpen sing with some of the British 'Blues boom' acts of the 60s - Fleetwood Mac, Chicken Shack, Yardbirds, even the early Stones. It would have given them a rougher edge.
