Forum: movies Subject: Free Huey! Update -- Download Faster Via BitTorrent or Coblitz

This documentary chronicles the heroic struggle of Huey P. Newton, co-founder (with Bobby Seale) of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense. To download the original mp4 version of the film, use the BitTorrent file linked from the program details page or grab it here. If you use Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Wine, use the stable version of uTorrent at http://www.utorrent.com/downloads. If you use Windows 2000, grab uTorrent version 2.0 build 17920 from the program details page (under the title "Windows Executable)" or here.

If instead you wish to download the Ogg Theora version of the film with at least some of the download speed which the mp4 torrent provides, use Princeton University's "Coblitz" large file transfer technology and grab the film here. Note this simply means "coblitz.codeen.org/" prepends the "www" part of the URL.

Lastly, if you prefer the smaller, low-bandwidth mp4 version, grab the film (via Coblitz) here.

Free him from his pitiful and violent legacy I assume , since he is already dead . Murdered by a 24 year old BP member named Tyrone Robinson in 1989 .
Huey was a convicted murderer of Oakland police officer John Frey in 1968. That was the exclamation point of a life filled with criminal activity . The double exclamation would be the implication of being involved in the murder of Betty Van Patter . Castro took him in after that little oopsy . Some of this man's hero's include Marx , Lenin , Mao , and Che . I guess if you are looking for ways to crush your fellow man ....
The BP Party may have at one point been an organization based on liberation , but quickly became a gang of fear and violence .

You are totally off base. First communism/socialism is not what was used in the former USSR or modern day China, they are more of a dictatorship using socialism as a cover. True socialism is actually a system that would benefit the average working class person more than capitalism. Capitalism..the wealthy capitalize on the poor and the working class. If most people actually knew what socialism was instead of being blinded by the Nixon/McCarthy/Hoover shenanigans, then most would gladly support the system as it is a system of the WORKER,not the wealthy elite like our system now in place here in the U.S.

Wealth creation is not a zero sum game . Wealth is created , and ultimately could be an infinite resource . It is not a pie to be doled out through coercion , which is what happens whenever people are yoked to the state's definition of fairness or equality . The rights we enjoy in our Republic are bestowed on us by our Creator and removes the basis of our rights being playthings that the state can give or take away arbitrarily . Lastly , fairness is an illusion . Life has never been fair . Nor will it ever be .
If I have a choice between " Nixon/McCarthy/Hoover shenanigans " or the Stalin/Mao/Hitler fun pack ( all great socializers ) I will take the former . If people in this country wanted socialism they would vote for it . They don't . And they are not ignorant or stupid , to answer the inevitable next question .
