Re: different sources vs. early/late |
It may not be very common, but I think it's probably more common than two shows in one day at different venues (which I'd never heard of before you mentioned it).
Diana's comments mirror mine - most the recordings I've seen that have it are like a radio show or record store performance followed by a full length show in a theatre. Like this.

However, I did find a lot more double features at the same threatre than I expected, so adding "venue" to the query will only fix half of them and I agree we need to find another solution to do it 100% correctly.
We have quite a few open bug requests that require engineer attention. The last couple responses I've seen include:
"Once audio and LMA moves into the new US storage system, we'll sort out all the LMA-specific needs."
This is a reference to moving the collection to one of the
US Petaboxes. Timeframe for that is mid to end of summer, so we're going to have to wait till then in order to see fixes for this. I encourage you to enter this into the
To-Do section though to make sure it gets documented for them to see.

Re: different sources vs. early/late |
Yeah, once Diana mentioned the radio/in-store appearances, I realized that I had indeed seen some of those myself. So I think we're all on the same page now. As I said, this isn't urgent (at least to me - I don't have any shows to upload right now that would be affected). But at your suggestion, I've gone ahead and entered it as a (minor) bug on the ToDo list. Thanks.
edit: I misspelled Diana's name, sorry D. :)
