Does anyone know if the 1952 Columbia serial "Blackhawk: Fearless Champion of Freedom" was renewed? There shouldn't be any underlying rights problems because they would have reverted to Quality comics, which was bought out by DC four years after this film's release. DC never renewed the copyrights on the Quality comics that this serial was based on, although they did keep the trademark going, so DC shouldn't be able to make claims on it any more than they can reclaim the Fleischer "Superman" cartoons.

Actually, it was 64 renewals. Some were DC.
