Sorry Miss D. hadn't noticed your reply til now. I agree with you about IPL. My preference is for the longest form of the game, though I can be distracted from a walk if I come across a village match. Missed out on tickets for a Test match for the first time in years last year as a result of Edgbaston's change of policy, Should have tried Cardiff I guess.

Time for a blast of Roy Harper's 'Old cricketer' now I think.

I'm admittedly not a cricket purist (I'm a Scot,I have an excuse) but I have to say I enjoy both a quickfire 20/Twenty swashbuckling slog and settling down with TMS for the slow unfolding of the long form. A little like the fun of a three-minute romp through MAMU versus the drama of a 45-minute plus Dark Star. I'm happy I can have both.
