Oh, yes - how could we forget? Thank you.
Did you see Ray fronting Metallica at that Hall of Fame show? Crazy cool.

Loudon Wainwright III
$23/Adv $26/Door
"...he has not only retained his sharpness of wit but has also learned to cut with greater skill.” –The New Yorker
Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Loudon Wainwright III earned his stripes playing rebellious folk songs teeming with off-color humor and crafty musicianship. With a resume that encompasses four decades, in just about every aspect of the business, he’s had his share of top 40 hits, film scores and high-profile admirers. While Wainwright often performs with the support of a back-up quartet he affectionately refers to as his “wrecking crew”, a guitar and a stage are all he needs to really shine. Don’t miss this intimate solo appearance- with any luck, Loudon might dig into old-time chestnuts from a new album entitled High, Wide and Handsome (2nd Story Sound, 2009).

Re: Non-Dead - Holiday music redux |
This is the show I saw last month. Richard Thompson is often too gloomy for my tastes, but they were both fantastic. Interesting observation: a measurable portion of the audience left right after Thompson did "Vincent Black Lightning." Of course those fools missed the amazing encores.

Re: Non-Dead - Holiday music redux |
Fools is too kind a word; those two have collaborated many times over the years. You would think anyone sitting there would know premature to leave after RT plays his solo "hit".
