Thanks Mike and Shane! So, I don't know who sees/helps with volunteer appeals these days, but ahead of getting a "new Ken" into position, I can do some first-pass moving for y'all as I do some of my other curation tasks. Caveats: -Sabucat is supposed to be a curated collection specific to Sabucat-sourced trailers, not Opensource contributions. So I'd be uncomfortable moving things there. Either we'll have to leave trailers in OSM for now or stow them in feature_films for now. Is there a consensus preference? -The longtermers' or "regulars'" items may get moved around faster than those of relative newcomers, just due to my way of pattern recognition during curation. Apologies in advance for any unevenness! -I'll have to keep the moving simple and so will not split the feature films into the genre subcollections (like SciFi_Horror), leaving that sifting for some later expert. -The rights status for most of this stuff is hard for me to follow, so I'll have to leave it to you buffs and experts to watch out and squawk about in-copyright items. Just because items make it out of OSM and into Classic TV or Feature Films (or out of OSA and into oldtimeradio), does not mean they are known-OK for the site. -The more good/accurate/truthful description about something, the better chance it will get moved properly instead of pulled down. (I think I'm preaching to the choir in this forum though. ;) )

It is my understanding, though i could be wrong that Sabucat is no longer involved with IA though the files are still there for all of us to enjoy. If I'm correct in believing this, then perhaps IA should consider changing the name of that section, the fact being that more than a few files have been moved into that section anyway in the last few months, and more than a few of those I contributed. I can't speak for Sabucat, but if he had a problem with other people having files moved into this section, I'm pretty sure IA would have heard about it some time ago. I don't think it should be too much of a big deal.

Good points in this and your feature_films post, thanks for the feedback!

Looking back into the trailer collection, I see that the Sabucat items were placed in a single tranche of ~100 in 2004, then no further additions. Plus from a curator perspective those are grouped in a slightly different way compared to the rest. Thus, the Opensource material can be sorted back out easily into another collection later if need be. And the advantage of having them in the one place for now would help any later refiling.

So, the Ken plan continues for trailers at least as a stopgap!

Just glad to see someone's moving stuff out of Open Source. You're doing good work. Thanks.
