Re: Illustrations |
Gerry, first question should have been what format was he trying to download.
Some download formats don't come with illustrations. Full Text does not.
Choosing the smallest file size, means the illustrations are not there IN ORDER to reduce the download size. I always pick PDF, there you might have "PDF B&W only" (without colour) or just PDF, which contains all the colour of the original, with older books, thats for example dark blue covers, yellowed pages, either black and white illustrations, or colour if that was what the original HAD.

Re: Illustrations |
Time Traveler,
Yes format is important, but I have put up many items which do not have illustrations, only text; maybe the item he was downloading was only text. It would also be good to know where he was downloading from, etc. ... .

Re: Illustrations |
I meant both, but with fly fishing I assumed it had illustrations.
I was trying to head of the person from just sending you the link to the whole page, rather than the link of the file in question.
Also I wondered if it was a Google Book which you could not download in its entirety, leaving just a text only version on the Archive.
I find Google Books a pain.
