Forum: web Subject: Wayback Stopped Archiving?

I am in web dev and use the way back machine on a fairly frequent basis to look at various sites. However, recently I have noticed that it does not seem to be working. New indexes are not appearing for any sites I look at. I'm not sure where the cut off is it seems to be sometime after March 2008.

Has any one else had this problem or know why this might be?

It always takes at least 6 months, and sometimes about a year, for collected web material to become part of the public Wayback Machine collection.

After some recent changes to the Wayback Machine architecture, and the migration of all data to a new datacenter, we'll be catching up through all 2008 in the next month or so.

As someone who has been following the Wayback Machine for quite some years now, I can tell you that it has *always* been slow. And that no one can tell us why.

same here...Wayback stopped archiving our site as of Dec 2007.

Our robots.txt is ok, and ia_archiver regularly visits our site. Any idea what's the problem?

My site http://www.vantijn.net has a archive from dec18-2003 untill oct13-2007.

After that date the WB-Machine don't will archive my site. I have several times requested a archive but still nothing.
I think mij robottekst is OK so the other codes of my site.

So what is wrong or is the project realy failed. I don't hope so.
