I was just about to ask the same thing. I've been having this issue too, though it seems more recent than the addition of the lists feature, I only noticed this in the last few days

I only noticed the new lists feature a couple of days ago so I figured it came out within the past week. I hadn't tried checking any item histories until a few days ago either so the update and the history issue might not be related.
