And why not? To set the thumnail image for your item MUST be possible for all kind of uploads/items: video, audio, text, software ... And in a simple and easy way! It is a very big stupidity that the system generates stupid thumbnail images and we have no choice, we must accept this. A good thumbnail image is essential for an item.
I tried this way: first I uploaded a short video created only from one image to have a good thumbnail for the item. But when I uploaded the movie that first good thumbnail was changed: a gray frame since at the beginning of the movie there was such a frame.
Why is this impossible, why cannot implement Archive setting the thumbnail by the user if he wants?
