Forum: forums Subject: Can no longer download PDFs of borrowed books

I hate reading in a browser, so I like to download PDFs of the books I borrow.

However, I can no longer do that. Every book I look at has no download options. Even books that I've downloaded in the past are no longer downloadable. All I see mentioned is "PDF access not available for this item." (This only applies to borrowed books -- the open access books can still be downloadable in a variety of formats.)

I've spent a few hours researching this -- seeing if their policies have changed -- but I haven't found anything. I would think that if there policy changes (for example, owing to one of the lawsuits they have been subjected to) that there would be mention of it /somewhere/ on the Internet, but this is not the case.

Can anyone provide any insight into what may be happening?

Thanks in advance!
