Am unable to borrow a book as the message that comes on screen.. lending limit reached. How to solve this issue?

I am having the same problem! I have ZERO books checked out and the moment I want to check out any book, it tells me that I have reached my lending limit and cannot check it out. I tried different browsers, disabling adblock, clearing my cache. The error persists. I'm getting tired of how buggy the controlled lending system for books is. And, predictably, nobody responds to the bugs. As always. Archive is really going downhill.
