I think he's talking about an uploaded item, not a post.

Items that are sitting around in "md5 failed" or "waiting for user to enter metadata" get deleted after a few weeks, since we assume the user gave up.

If the show was public, it wouldn't get deleted unless someone filed an error report about it, and uploaded a corrected version.
