I uploaded a show the other day as a flac, but did not know you had to have md5's for flacs. So I re uploaded it as shn today, however now there are two copies, one replacing the first upload, and a second failed upload. To top it off I accidentily resumed an upload inside another one creating a sub folder. This is the correct show ( http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=18720 )and I have uploaded the files in .shn format. That directory is mnathanson2004-10-05.shnf, however i think the page still is looking at the flacs. If a mod could please check this, delete the flacs from the server as well as the contribution page for the flacs I would appreciate it as it appears I cannot do this myself.

Thanks,
Sanjay Suchak

Ok, a couple things. First off, I deleted the imported show detail page pointing at the FLAC files.

When I went into your SHN folder and ran the check against the files, they all passed (see below). However, your "Disc 1" and "Disc 2" folders have a space in the name of them which might be causing issues. Please rename those folders to follow etree's naming guidelines (mnathanson2004-10-05d1). Or, don't use subfolders for each disc (this is preferred).

Once you do that, you will need to update the file metadata by opening the show details page and clicking the "File Options" on the left side. Make sure all the info in that is correct, then click "Update"

Wait about 5-10 minutes, then go into the Contribution center and resubmit your show for another MD5check - "Mark Resolved".

Regarding deleting the FLAC files, your login should have permission to do that now that I deleted the details page that related to those files. Let me know if not.

Hope all of this makes sense, it's a lot of info. Let me know if anything requires clarification.

P.S. FLAC really is preferred - for future uploads if you could learn to use MD5summer to create the MD5 and include it, that would be great.

Thanks, I fixed the folders and in the requisite 10 minutes I will mark it as resolved. MD5summer like mkw is very tempermental on my computer, it only opens occasionally, or sometimes it just open hours after I click on it. I figured flac was alright because it has an internal checksum and didn't need a md5. now I know. Thanks for your help and hopefully I can get everything right from now on.

Sincerely,
Sanjay Suchak
