There is free software such as MediaCoder for Windows that will make the conversion. It can take a while, depending on your system. Why do you need MPEG2, to burn DVDs?

As a rule, the largest file (e.g., divx), in megabytes, will give you the best quality. If you have a slow connection and don't want to use that much bandwidth, the smaller ones can be converted but won't give you the quality you might expect in a DVD.

MediaCoder will convert these to DVD compatible MPEG2 videos. Read the tutorials in the MediaCoder forums before doing this. IFOEdit is also free and will create the file structure needed as I recall (IFOs, etc.). It is not very intuitive, though.

There is commercial software that will merge all of this into one project, including burning disks. Nero does this in particular. Be sure the video format is supported before spending your money. Or, in Linux, you can automate the process with a script :>)
