for cdrom's this would allow us to know if it is available for downloading. for texts it would allow us to find the ones converted to djvu.

movies would tell us the quicktimes-- etc.

good idea - where should this feature go? presumably in the browse feature, but should there be a link that says "Formats"? or should this be a separate feature entirely?

I think it should just be another catagory in the browse tree. Maybe it should be a separate catagory for each format at the top level or maybe it should be all lumped under one catagory called formats... I dont know.

The only issue I see here is that we currently only have 96 CD-ROMs in the proper format for dowloading. Do we want to just list those 96? Or do we want to wait until we have a larger sample set to choose from?

It would be useful to visitors to this site to list those 96 - and not much investment of time. Thanks.

Unfortunately, this part of the Archive is outdated, and isn't publically indexed anymore (though may still be reachable through Google or some other indirect links!)

Anyhow, unfortunately, there aren't available items in this collection anymore, but we are working on some new software-related collections which should hopefully be available soon.
