Read the FAQ's dude. |
The Buzztones policy status page:
http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-band-details.php?band=The%20BuzzTones
Read the FAQ's:
http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#100
http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#101
and this one is for the band:
http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#115
To activate a band section,
the band needs to e-mail the admins at this site at : etree@archive.org basically saying they are cool with fan recorded live music being shared freely here at archive.org. Once that is done, a section will be activated for them, and the show you uploaded will be allowed to be processed.
"I feel as if this band is being ignored because they (and I) are not a part of some big city scene."
That can't be farther then the truth. Read the instructions dude, no one is ignoring the band, many small local artists from regions all over the usa and globally are activated and have live music on here. All it required was an official letter from the band.
Remember: You are the one who has to run with this! You have to be the one to get the band in gear to e-mail the archive and to get it lined up.
Thank you for your dedication to the music. Have them e-mail the archive and it will roll as it says in the frequently asked questions.

Re: Read the FAQ's dude. |
Thanks for you prompt attention to this. I thought I had gone through the process properly by obtaining permission from the band and then passing that on to the archive as I created their space and uploaded their show. It appears that the only missing link was an actual email from the band to you all which confirms that they are taper-friendly. I will pass this on to them and hopefully have their show available soon, as well as a few others we can upload once this first one is activated. Thank You!
