(Sigh)

Dude!

The proclaimers are not REALLY one hit wonders, I;m On My Way? There's A Touch? King Of The Road? Etc etc etc.. I would advise you to go to

http://www.proclaimers.co.uk/2003/the_music.html
especially The Joyful Kilmarnock Blues which can be found at..

http://www.proclaimers.co.uk/2003/the_music/best_of/kilmarnock.ram

Check some of their other new stuff out. Even though "I'm Gonna Be" is their best known hit, they've been a scottish institution for YEARS, been a headliner at T in the Park a number of times, and do one hell of a live gig.

So there, how 'weird' is that?

It really is shame when people close their ears to music which has crossed continents and lasted decades.
And you are missing meeting up with a lot of great people :0)

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHH NOOOOOOO!! lololololo
they didn't set out to be 'Scottish' singers. They have their own style, based loosely on traditional folk, they tell stories, based on fact etc etc etc . I can't really describe all they do in this small space.

But everybody bases their opinion of them on ONE song. They don't play Scottish music, no, but they sing in Scottish accents becasue they don't see the need to go all mid-atlantic on us. They started in the 80's yes, but their stuff is bang up to date.

I DARE YOU TO GO TO A GIG!!!

;0)
