It appears that the FlipBook format is now also available for Open Source Books. I uploaded the TIFF files for two public domain books I had already posted here, clicked the Derive button in the Item Mananger, and FlipBooks were created.

Unfortunately it seems that covers are omitted, which was shame in the case where the book actually started on the inside cover. (Not to mention that for many books the cover is the prettiest page.)

Yes flipbook always starts with the first spread of an item.
