Forum: sflan Subject: Meraki anyone?

I've been fairly impressed with what Meraki has been able to accomplish.

http://sf.meraki.net/

Is there any possibility that these two projects could merge somehow?

The meraki devices are a lot cheaper than the sflan nodes, albeit with a much lower powered radio. They're giving them out for free. They use standard SMA antenna connectors. I've put a high gain one on my node.

Plus, I've been in contact with Meraki and they're coming out with a higher powered radio.

Look for SSID "Free the Net"

I don't see why Meraki would need SFLan. They've covered more of SF in 6 months than SFLan has in 4 years. For the very first time, I have Wi-Fi within a mile of my Sunset house. Thanks, Meraki!
