Damn man if I was his kid I'd ask him about it too. I mean it's in my book one of the best studio recording the dead ever did. Really One of the only songs I enjoyed listening to again and again from the later years albums. What I want to know is why it took so long to really put it in the lineup.

I'm not sure why they never did it. My guess is they thought it was too much work for the return on investment or couldn't pull it off. Wish they would have pulled it out when Jerry could have pulled it off except when they did.

I know they supposedly soundchecked it a few times over the years. Anyone know when and if there are any recordings?
