ok, who was the wise guy????? |
a week or so ago some Yankee fan spouted that they's catch the sox by sept just because they hit 3 homers in one inning. I thought that was an insane comment. Now i look and the lead is down to 7 games. All I have to say is that wasn't very nice! However, looks like we might have a pennant chase after all and those head to head games in sept might mean something

Needless to say, my Boston-bred pessimism is starting to awaken from a deep slumber.
Related Note to below post: The wife has been converted into a hard-core Sox fan. This helps immensely.

I was at school in VT and we (Mets & Sox fans) were watching that infamous game 7 - I recall leaving the cabin early as I was disgusted because THERE WAS NO WAY the Mets were coming back - I decided to go up to Campus were there was a band and plenty of partying going on at the dinning hall (Marlboro College) - we'll I got a cold one from the Keg and was trying to recover when somebody came running in jumped on the 'stage' grabbed the Mic and announced the METS won it!!!! I couldn't effn' believe it, and I MISSED it --- never leave early always stick it out!!!

if you were a real yankee fan you would know how many games they got left against each other :)~....go red sox..yankees won't even make the post season...

As a lifelong Sox fan this is pretty much par for the course. It would surprise me greatly if they kept a winning season going until the Pennant. But Hell you Yankees fans don't stand a chance this year. Just feel lucky you can cross the border to be Mets fans, ha ha he ha he losers. I smell a rematch revenge World Series or Bill Buckner will eat my shorts. Bring it onnnnn.
