I'm finally getting around to downloading mpeg2 versions of my favourites and putting them onto dvd for my friends to see, but I'm having trouble with about 40% of the titles. When I (try to) de-multiplex them, it gets to a certain percentage through the file, then tells me the stream is encrypted and cannot be read. I've tried both dvd-lab and tmpg with the same result. The ones I've checked all fall under Creative Commons. An example of one that works is My Japan, one that doesn't work is Duck and Cover. So how do I go about splitting these into video & audio files? Note: forgive if this may have been already posted (I couldn't find anything on it).

Are you putting both of those files on the same DVD?

I found that I had problems "My Japan" on a DVD with other files, because the aspect ratio of the two files is different.

Yes I am, although I relaxed the aspect ratio so anything could go with anything. The problem is in splitting the audio from the video for putting onto DVD. Alternatively, if anybody else can recommend DVD software that they've used with movies from here without fault, please do tell =) Being able to create menus from scratch would be a bonus (as in dvd-lab). I've found three forums where people have had the same trouble, and all have no solution =P http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25326 http://www.mmbforums.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4511 http://www.mmbforums.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1980 Thanks!

Just thought I'd add that I eventually sorted this out =) After trying a half-dozen or so programs without any luck, I stumbled upon MPEG-VCR (http://www.womble.com/) which demuxed them with no hassles what so ever.
